FAQs

Who can join the tours?

Everyone is welcome! Our runs are designed to be accessible to all levels. We run at a relaxed pace, with plenty of stops. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned runner, the goal is to move, explore, and enjoy.

What should I bring?

  • Comfortable running shoes

  • Weather-appropriate clothes

  • A small water bottle (though we make stops too)

  • And most importantly… your good vibes!

What if it rains?

A little rain won’t stop us ☔️😄. We adapt the route and pace if needed. In case of severe weather, we’ll offer you a reschedule or a refund.

What language are the tours in?

The tours are primarily in English to keep things simple and inclusive. However, I also speak French some Spanish, Portuguese and German — so feel free to ask for help or translations if needed!

Is there a place to leave my stuff during the run?

There’s no locker or changing room available, so it’s best to come ready to run. A small running backpack or waist belt is a good idea if you need to carry essentials like water, keys, or a phone.

How many people can join a tour ?

To keep the athmosphere friendly, relaxed and far from the feel of large tourist group, the tours a limited to a maximum of 12 participants.
The goal is to share an authentic and enjoyable moment zhere everyone feels welcome, without the “tour bus” experience.
If you are a big group, don’t hesitate to contact me.

How far do we run?

Usually around 10 km, depending on the theme and route of the day. We keep a relaxed pace and take plenty of breaks to enjoy the views (and other suprises).
Heads up: Porto is a hilly city, so don’t be surprised if a few sneaky climbs or stairs pop up along the way – it’s all part of the adventure!

How long does the experience last?

Each tour takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group’s pace and time spent at the stops.

What if I don’t drink alcohol?

No worries! For Run & PortoWine, we can offer a non-alcoholic alternative (juice, mocktail, etc.). Just let us know in advance.

What if my partner, friends or family don’t run — can they meet us at the end?

Of course! No problem at all — we can share the final location and an estimated arrival time if they want to join you for the tasting or simply to hang out at the finish. Just let us know in advance so we can give you all the details!

Do the tours finish where they start?

Almost! The tours usually end very close to the starting point — just a few minutes away on foot. That way, it's easy to get back to your hotel or wherever you started.

Is it mandatory to book online ?

Booking online is not mandatory but it is strongly recommended.

Without reservations, there is a chance I might not be present at the meeting point. On the other hand, if the group is already full I may have to turn away walk-ins - and I want to avoind any disappointment.

If you are waiting the last minute don’t hesitate to contact me, via messenger or the contact form.

Do I need to be in great shape?

No! These are not races. The vibe is casual, social, and fun. If you can jog or run lightly for about 1.5 hours (with breaks), you’re good to go!

Are the tastings included in the price?

Yes! All tastings — whether it’s pasteis, tapas, or Porto wine — are included in the experience. No extra costs during the tour.

Can I book a private tour?

Absolutely! Groups are welcome, and we’re happy to arrange private tours for special occasions (team buildings, birthdays, bachelor/ette parties, etc.). Just get in touch with us to plan your custom experience.

Is this a historical or guided city tour?

Not exactly — while we know and love Porto, those tours are not designed as in-depth historical tours. We’ll share some fun facts and point out cool spots, but if you're looking for a deep dive into Porto's history, we recommend joining a dedicated walking or historical tour.
This run is all about discovering the city in a fun, active, and tasty way!

Can I leave a tip if I had an amazing time?

Absolutely – and thank you! CrazyRunnerPorto is all about sharing good vibes, and if you feel like showing some extra love, tips are always appreciated. They help keep the runs fun, the energy high, and the snacks cold 😄
